All of Glance’s consultancy and research is drawn from a unique quantitative system for identifying, and weighting audience appeal and potential, which has continually been refined and developed for over 40 years.

The latest iteration of this for clients is App.Dex (Indexing Content Appeal). This service provides an objective assessment of the audience potential of scripted and unscripted projects throughout the development process – from brief treatments and outlines, to (in the case of scripted projects), full scripts, or produced pilots. It identifies key strengths and weaknesses of a project, and can be employed on individual projects, or across a portfolio of content, to determine the relative potential of each, allowing broadcasters, content owners and investors to make informed decisions.

App.Dex draws on Glance’s qualitative content research methodology and identified appeal drivers, originating from the company’s expertise of modelling, and observing audience behaviour and viewing choices.

This unique understanding of how programme content satisfies viewer needs, is enhanced by our expertise on statistical modelling, combining continual international monitoring with actual ratings in different markets and for different targets.
